Excell

I'll be twenty-seven this week.  Someone told me I that most people have their first kid by my age.  A thirteen year old told me that, half my age.  But what was more surprising was that echoes floated through the room, "I don't want kids."

My Dad asked me during Winter break about owning property, animals, and a garden.  I don't think I do want those things anymore.  For someone with so much energy, I'm too tired for all of that.  Speaking eloquently about city-planning to my coworkers when my walk to school is sans-sidewalk.  Pedestrian infrastructure tells us that we are valuable.  That using our legs and are arms to propel ourselves in the most basic way is valued.

I've chosen the wrong field, but the worst part is, I'm very good at it.
