Facsimile
I have a pair of blue Converse All-Stars from middle school. Well, I had a pair but now they are a decimated heap of shoeing. It's partially due to 15 years of dedicated wearing. A polyamorous love triangle of footwear. And so, like any Frankenstein-to-be I decided a resurrection was in order; And yet it was more akin to modern-day cloning. Having purchased a new pair of blue, Converse All-Stars distress, color matching and hundreds of methods of recreating later a new, identical pair was born: slightly worse for the wear. Down to the eyelet be-specked with red-nail polish for some obscure reason, all passers-by no nothing of the falseness of my shoes. That the decades old beating is a front, a modern plastic surgery; Facsimile.
