Astroboy has 3 Daddies

It's true. If you've ever watched Astroboy, he's got about 8 fathers. Surprisingly thought, there is never a mention of his mother. Even before the robot Astroboy is built his human original, Toby, has a conspicuous lack of mother.

There are some strange separation issues going on in the series Astroboy. First Toby is killed when he steals his fathers car, after his father breaks his promise to take Toby to the amusement park. He crashes it, probably since he's about 8 years old. His father gets the idea after his son's death to build a boy robot, and then we begin the story of Astroboy.

Later on there are some parents built for Astroboy. That's wierd enough. And throughout the story arch an 8 year old Astro must battle robot descimination. Kind of ripe for a kids show. Excellently ripe.
